The Nokia N80 is one of the first mobile phones that broke the 3 megapixel barrier for digital camera phones. Though, now there are such solutions from other mobile phone manufacturers like Sony Ericsson and Samsung as well, the Nokia N80 among them is a smartphones with S60 platform base and Symbian operating system. The Nokia N80 is not exactly lightweight at 134 grams, but fares well in comparison to other smartphones offering same level of functionality.

The Nokia N80 features a smooth sliding action with auto finish mechanism. The handset's sliding upper half is silver and the lower fixed half is black – a colour combination that works every time when you are trying to create a sleek yet professional looks.

Being marketed as a business solution, this sober outlook is apt for potential Nokia N80 users. The handset's front fascia is dominated by its large, 262k coloured TFT screen. Opening the handset reveals the spaced out, tactile keypad.

Primary camera module of this dual camera phone is 3.0 megapixel with Carl Zeiss Optics. The Nokia N80 can boast of almost all imaging aids present in the field of mobile digital photography. Staring from digital zoom, flash, autofocus, timer – the integrated camera has everything needed to come up with brilliant pictures – every time. Additionally, there is a secondary VGA resolution camera placed right above the handset's display. This module records videos and send them in smaller packets across 3G network while you are on video call.

Apart from UMTS (3G) networks, the Nokia N80 supports all four of the GSM mobile network. Thereby, the handset makes sure that no matter which corner of the globe you might hop into, you will always remain connected. Apart from 3G, you can use its embedded GPRS and EDGE technology or use a WiFi hotspot to get connected with the Nokia N80. Local connectivity tools to connect and transfer information with external devices includes Bluetooth v1.2, Infrared and USB v2.0.
