The launch of Diamond was like a coming of a giant against whom no body can stand and the phone proved the same also. The new Diamond have sharp and distinct 2.8" wide touch screen which gives a new look to the phone and can be known as one of the major reason for its beauty.

The edges of HTC Diamond are brushed up with a metal which gives a shine to the phone and again it made it unique. HTC Touch Diamond – Review

HTC have finally announced the long awaited HTC Touch Diamond cell phone. The fact is that the HTC Company has gone nearly fourth time to become a main competitor of iPhone. However HTC would also manage to gain great success as they have used a windows mobile that includes an excellent interface that was not seen on a windows mobile before.

Design

Similar to the previous PDA phones the new HTC Touch Diamond is also designed with the same 2.8 inch display. The design of HTC Touch Diamond is an evocative of the previous Prism phone from Nokia and it is designed with diamond like patters at the back of the cell phone. HTC Touch Diamond is very different from the iPhone as it uses a circular directional pad which is much like the one used in HTC Touch Cruise. Overall the design of the cell phone is very stunning and is a sleek phone.

Features and Specifications

The HTC Touch Diamond is truly a vast improvement over all other HTC cell phones. Rather than the same 400 MHz processor the phone includes an impressive Qualcomm MSM 7201A process that includes nearly 192MB RAM. If you think that the interface of HTC Touch Diamond would be faster with the processor and RAM then the fact is that it is a bit sluggish compared to other phones but is an excellent improvement over the previous HTC Touch Cruise interface.

You would surely appreciate HTC Touch Diamond when it comes to the cell phone browser. The cell phone’s browser looks remarkable including the scroll wheel that lets you zoom into the web pages slowly apart from the instant zoom in of web pages. There was also little or no interpretation when you zoom into the web pages and this feature makes the browser one of the best web to be included a cell phone. It is much better than the Skyfire browser and 3.5 NetFront Brower but it would require you to add a separate application in order to watch YouTube videos. The cell phone included GPS system that you can easily use with Google maps whereas the Wi-Fi and the HSDPA would make browsing the web and availing emails very fast and possible on the go.

The HTC Touch Diamond is entirely a touch screen cell phone and it does not include any QWERTY keyword as you will find almost everything on the screen. On the other hand the camera of this HTC Cell phone is very promising as it includes a 3.2 megapixel camera including auto focus which lets you get clearer shots than the previous HTC handsets. The TouchFlo 3D feature is the combination of camera and music features which are more finger friendly in the cell phone’s interface. Some of the other features included it the HTC Touch Diamond are GPS, in built accelerometer which changes the screen automatically to portrait mode, Wi-Fi, HSDA connectivity and a generous 4 GB of internal storage memory. The HTC Company has just bounded into the touchscreen smart phone industry with their excellent phone interface and they still have a long way to go.
