Orange is testing a new video portal and is offering beta testers free unlimited use during the 8 week trial period.The service, which opens up for testing on 9th June, allows users with compatible handsets to watch news, sport and catch up with soaps like Coronation Street just by making a video call from their mobile. Because you’ll be making a video call you’ll be able to watch videos instantly without waiting for them to download.
The service will also have movie trailers and interviews with music artists as well as giving users the opportunity to upload videos to a YouTube style service where other users can watch, rate and share them.
During the trial Orange users have unlimited use of the Video Portal and call costs won’t affect bundled minutes. If successful Orange hope to launch to the public at a later date.
